The Panthers led after one quarter, but the Knights responded

NORTH PENN 65, QUAKERTOWN 48

Matt Swanson scored a career-high 22 points, and Josh Jones had 19 to lead the Knights to the convincing road win.

The Panthers led 14-11 after one quarter, but the Knights responded with a 26-point second quarter to go into halftime with a 37-24 lead. Rob Carangi, who scored all 13 of his points in the opening half, had 11 points in the second quarter.

The Knights outscored the Panthers 45-21 over the middle two periods. Swanson and Jones did most of their damage in the middle two frames. Both scored 14 points in that span to lead the charge.

“Carter Houlihan and Mike Chaffee were very unselfish and played well on the defensive end,” North Penn coach John Conrad said.

For the Panthers, Matt Catalano led the way with 17 points, which included five 3-pointers. Jake Hollowell had eight points and Luke Bauer added six points.

North Penn (7-12, 3-6 SOL) will host Central Bucks West on Friday, and Quakertown (2-16 1-9) will host Central Bucks East on Friday.
