Golden Hawks Falls To Bensalem After Eighth Inning Score

Thursday’s game against Bensalem was a heartbreaker for the Golden Hawks, as they lost the lead late in a 10-3 defeat. The game was tied at two with Bensalem batting in the top of the eighth when Dean singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

The Golden Hawks struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Bensalem, giving up ten runs.

Bensalem got things started in the second inning. R Rooney grounded out, scoring one run.

In the top of the sixth inning, Bensalem tied things up at two.  Lavender grounded out, scoring one run.

McShane earned the victory on the mound for Bensalem. He lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero. Grady threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Drew LaPolice took the loss for the Golden Hawks. He allowed two hits and five runs over an inning of work, walking two.

Young started the game for Bensalem. He went six and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out four. Michael Rabayda started the game for the Golden Hawks. He allowed two hits and two runs over six innings, striking out two.

Ayden Flint led the Golden Hawks with three hits in four at bats.


The Golden Hawks hit one home run on the day. Jared Ennis had a long ball in the second inning.

Dean went 2-for-5 at the plate to lead Bensalem in hits.
