RIDLEY 49, BENSALEM 48

Saturday’s have not been kind to the Owls, who dropped their fourth game of the season. All four losses came in Saturday games. The Owls came close to breaking their streak with a 20-point fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough.

Bensalem scored just 14 points in the first half and trailed by eight. The Owls were on the short end of a 34-28 score heading into the final quarter.

James Ashford led the Owls with 19 points, Travis Robinson added 13, and Aaron Sanders had 12.

The Owls – the seventh seed in the latest District One 6A power rankings – must remain the top eight to earn a first-round bye.
