Golden Hawks Clinches Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Council Rock North


The Golden Hawks defeated Council Rock North 5-1 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at one with the Golden Hawks batting in the top of the sixth when Pat Gannon drew a walk, scoring one run.

The Golden Hawks knotted the game up at one in the top of the fifth inning, when Trey Obarowski grounded out, scoring one run.

Drew LaPolice earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for the Golden Hawks. He lasted four innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out eight and walking one. Michael Rabayda threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Ryan Stalker took the loss for Council Rock North. He went five and a third innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out four.


The Hawks collected 7 hits for the day, Bennett Bobrin went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Golden Hawks in hits, Emilio Pallante, Jared Ennis, Jon Pinciotti, Jake Barder and Jack O’Neil chipped in, each with one.


The Golden Hawks where sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Luke Gregory made the most plays with 13. The Golden Hawks tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Ryan Wheet led the way with two.
