Two Pitchers Work Together As Golden Hawks Defeats Council Rock North In Shut-Out


The Golden Hawks defeated Council Rock North 6-0 on Monday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Michael Rabayda induced a groundout from Ryan Marlow to finish off the game.

The Golden Hawks secured the victory thanks to five runs in the fourth inning. The Golden Hawks big bats in the inning were led by fielder’s choices by Jake Barder and Pat Gannon and a single by Jack O’Neill.

A double by Alex Estrada in the fifth inning was a positive for Council Rock North.

Drew LaPolice led things off on the pitcher’s mound for the Golden Hawks. He went six innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out four and walking one.

Jared Ennis went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Golden Hawks in hits. The Golden Hawks where sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Gannon made the most plays with six.
