Golden Hawks Grabs Lead In Ninth Inning For Victory Over William Tennent


The Golden Hawks took the lead late and defeated William Tennent 8-6 on Wednesday. The game was tied at four with the Golden Hawks batting in the top of the ninth when Trey Obarowski singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Both offenses were strong at the plate as the Golden Hawks collected nine hits and William Tennent 12 in the high-scoring affair

William Tennent got things moving in the second inning, when Collelo doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

William Tennent evened things up at four in the bottom of the eighth inning when Mooney drew a walk, scoring one run.

Drew LaPolice was on the pitcher’s mound for the Golden Hawks. He surrendered three runs on five hits over four innings, striking out eight.

Monaghan started the game for William Tennent. He lasted seven innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out seven and walking one. X Delgado and Pawley entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one-third of an inning respectively.

Golden Hawks racked up nine hits in the game. ObarowskiEmilio Pallante, and Luke Gregory all had multiple hits for the Golden HawksPallante and Obarowski each collected three hits to lead the Golden Hawks.

William Tennent collected 12 hits on the day. DelgadoMooney, and Meltzer each managed multiple hits for William Tennent. Delgado led William Tennent with three hits in five at bats.
