Golden Hawks Lose Lead Early In Defeat

Golden Hawks fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-2 loss to Neshaminy on Monday. Neshaminy scored on an error in the first inning.

The Golden Hawks struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Neshaminy, giving up 12 runs.

Neshaminy got things moving in the first inning. RJ Christie was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.

Neshaminy scored four runs in the fifth inning. Neshaminy big bats were led by Cory JoyceDalton Turner, and Tyler Jones, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Dan Errigo led things off on the mound for Neshaminy. He allowed three hits and two runs over three innings, striking out three and walking one.

Jake Barder led things off on the hill for Golden Hawks. He surrendered five runs on three hits over three innings, striking out four. Joe Purcell and Shane Walter entered the game as relief, throwing one inning and one inning respectively.

Bennett BobrinLuke Gregory, and Jared Ennis each collected one hit to lead Golden Hawks.

Neshaminy tallied nine hits. Gus Natelli and Joyce each racked up multiple hits for Neshaminy. Neshaminy didn’t commit a single error in the field. Joyce had the most chances in the field with six.
